Cloud Connector Location

Cloud Connectors should be installed in central locations within the store. It's important to install Cloud Connectors on the ceiling or high on the wall to avoid interference from other equipment or products in the store.

IMPORTANT: Avoid installing Cloud Connectors near electronic equipment such as computers, printers and DO NOT install under countertops or inside of cabinets

Good Location ✅

Cloud Connector is installed on the ceiling

Bad Location ❌

Cloud Connector connection will be blocked by the computer monitor, printer and other electronic equipment

Installation

Ethernet: White supply power cable provided should go into a nearby power outlet, ethernet cord (shown in black here) should connect to your network.

Claiming Cloud Connectors

Claiming is how newly purchased devices from DT are activated and added to the project.

Install New Device

Once the correct store is selected, click the Install New Device button to begin.

Select Cloud Connector

Click on the Cloud Connector

Add Location Information

Add a brief description of where the Cloud Connector is located to help someone find the equipment if it needs service.
